Tube Your Future

English information

In the video contest Tube Your Future, students can create their own image of what it is like to work in the world of Science & Technology.

Students of the 3rd, 4th and 5th year of secondary education interview a professional in the field of science & technology, ranging from technical management experts and water purification technicians to game developers and medical engineers.

The students film the interviews and edit the films to develop a short movie. The best films of each school are nominated by the students and are uploaded on this website and on our own Tube Your Future channel on You Tube.

The contest ends with a spectacular national gala award event in science center NEMO where the best films will be awarded prizes by a panel of experts.

Tube Your Future is being organised by Science Center NEMO with support of Platform Bèta Techniek, Jet-Net and TechniekTalent.nu. It was developed in 2008 as a pilot project in the context of the European research project GAPP. The purpose of GAPP is to interest more students, especially girls, in an educational programme or a career in science & technology. With Tube Your Future, Science Center NEMO hopes to meet the demand for role models, especially female role models, and to provide information about science & technology professions tuned in on students of this age.
